ECRI’s 2021 Top 10 Health Technology Hazards
Each year ECRI, an independent nonprofit organization improving the safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness of care across all healthcare worldwide, develops the top ten technology hazards. This year it doesn’t come as a surprise that Medical Device Management made the list. Due to Emergency Use Authorizations in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, medical devices that otherwise would be unapproved for use are now acceptable.
